| Gay Search & Listing Sites These are web sites that are either search engines or listing sites of gay and gay-friendly web sites. Interestingly, among this list you will find several excellent examples of what NOT to do with your site: several of them claim to be the "Biggest" or the "Best" gay search site. Obviously all but one of them has to be lying, because only one can possibly be the "Biggest"! Just a reminder to only make claims on your site that you can substantiate: earn the trust of your clients. All Gay Directory Focused on listing pic sites, but if you've got good galleries you can get your site listed in the category that matches your content. All Gay Linx Great layout. Easy to find escorts. Supposedly has a rating system that users can rate your site, but I tested it out and it doesn't work--ALL sites have a rating of "0". Bent Links Began around New Years, 2003. Well laid out and attractive, so grew quickly and became a solid listing site fairly quickly. Attractive and easy to use so will draw in users to find your site. Operators are good to work with if questions arise. Highly recommended. CyberSocket Slick design. Good search with category for escorts & masseurs. Large and good traffic flow. WARNING: as of summer 2001 there is a Mr. AJ Broady working for them who has a strong mean streak. He can be very snide with no cause if not agreed with. I hold emails from him that are very nasty. Gay Crawler Another great simple and straightforward site. The only downside is that it does tend to lead users to categories, and has no category for escorts making us a bit difficult to find unless they ignore the categories and just type ESCORT into the search window. Gay Demon Nicely laid out and a specific section easy to find for ESCORTS. Has continued to improve over the years. Gay Guide Travel only: lists accommodation and other travel-related items. Useless for escort listings. Gay Insider Good clean design, except that it's hard to find the category for ESCORTS (it's there--under Arts & Entertainment!), so escorts have ended up listing themselves in several different categories ranging from "models" to "picture galleries". When you do a search for ESCORTS you get all these different fragments of categories listing the escorts. Overall, a good site though. Gay Male Body Totally focused on escorts, masseurs, and similar stuff. A bit slow to load, but a good listing place. Gay Planet Search is very, very poor. And it returns a list of site titles with no descriptions--not even in alphabetical order. Very frustrating to search through and I don't have a clue where an escort would list themselves. Gay Scape More a list than a search: you can click on States, Countries, or Topics. Gay-Search Good, large site with great layout and easy focus for escorts. However the site is in German, so if you don't know the language it can be a problem for you to submit; and for English-speaking clients it won't be useful. --- Große Website mit schönen Layout. Leicht zu finden Begleitpersonen darauf. Aber die Website ist auf Deutsch so nützlich, nur für Kunden, die die Sprache sprechen. Ausgezeichnet, wenn Sie zielen deutschen, österreichischen oder Schweizer Kunden. Gay Stud Direct New as of summer, 2003. Good layout and design; has specific very visible category for escorts. Gayworld Altlinkx Merely redirects you to I-Will-JO.com. See it mentioned below. I Will JO Simple search utility. Unfortunately it pops open additional pages of its content, so you get more windows than you want just by visiting it--rather annoying so no doubt limits its use. Joey's Cute Club Started in Spring, 2004. More of a listing than a search site. Various categories worth looking at to list yourself in. Macho 411 A bit amateurish in appearance. Not a search facility--just listings in different categories. There is an escort category, and it's done alphabetically. The site does have programming problems. Some browsers may have problems displaying the site. Male Directory Nothing but categories of porn pics--except it has a category for escorts in the middle of it all! Manshotz Totally focused on men. It's a bit of a guess where to list yourself because the categories are by man type, and no category specifically for escorts. Men On The Net Good layout. Crisp look though very full. Just get tired of their constant blaring they're the biggest and best--what proof do they have they're biggest? How do you define 'best'? My Gay Web Started Summer 2002. Decent but while it does have a good search function, selecting its categories are quite limited making using them not all that useful. Must PAY to get listed. Pride Links Excellent layout, easy-to-follow design. Good search utility, though it's tucked away far down at the bottom of the home page. Q Planet Has a specific category for escorts. Unfortunately this site is a NIGHTMARE of pop-up windows, one after another. Definitely not going to keep traffic coming back with that. Appears to be run by BadPuppy, infamous for their nefarious advertising methods. Queer And Free It has a lot of focus on other areas. Its search facility is NOT search--just a pure alphabetical listing of sites. Which means you will NEVER be found. Thus I must rate this site as horrible. Unfortunately this site is a NIGHTMARE of pop-up windows, one after another. Definitely not going to keep traffic coming back with that. Appears to be run by BadPuppy, infamous for their nefarious advertising methods. Queer Links Their search window is very quirky and I'm still not sure how it works--it only seems to PARTIALLY match what one is looking for. Sites are all ranked with up to 5 stars, and listings show how many visitors have clicked through on them. Overall, a decent site, but that search facility needs work. Queer Seek Great very well laid out and easy to follow design. Has categories (including escort) clearly visible and has a good search utility as well. Queer World Incredibly classy layout and design. Excellent submit CGI utility. Wonderful features and options. Definitely one of the best. Users can rate sites from 1 to 10. They can also write a review of the site. Sex Men And Queers More a listing than a search facility. Escorts section is clear and easy to find. Unfortunately this site is a NIGHTMARE of pop-up windows, one after another. Definitely not going to keep traffic coming back with that.
