A strong word of caution: you may be listed here even if you've never heard of them as they are well known to steal photos from other sources and put them up to enlarge their listings. But the main operator of it was shuffled out by the owners who then inexplicably destroyed it with lousy management and being VERY rude to escorts who made any inquiries as to what was going on. It died in 2008. EsCupido All new replacement for Gay Boyz as of 2004. This new offering is very complex in its behind the scenes programming. Easy to sign up for with very detailed profiles and auto-everything (including logging in and altering your profile). Very classy. The site offers 'authentication' of escorts promoting escorts who have been authenticated as REAL. The only downside to this is that you either have to be local to them or have a web cam to be able to be authenticated. Many of their features are available only to escorts paying. Escorts who are authenticated and escorts who pay come up top in the search listings. An tragic option they offer is that clients can send you an email with full anonymity: any escort with experience knows the problems in this. While overall it's a good world-wide offering, the heavy display of advertising on the site is quite distracting and can be confusing unless you take the time to get used to the site. Executive Male Escorts Another one of the big, well known sites. Well laid out, easy to navigate. Gay Boyz See 'EsCupido' above. Gay Romeo Came to exist in 2003. A powerhouse that should do extremely well and appears well focused. Much better world-wide presence than most competitors. Go Gay Located on a free server so of course it is often very slow to load. Poor layout--just lists, by country, row after row of guys on two long pages (one for US/Canada, one for the rest of the world). Quite small and destined to stay that way unless they get away from the free server and change to a format that's more user-friendly. Guys4Rent New in Fall 2001 and initially showed good potential. However it appears to have stalled and while there is a lot of good programming underlying the site there are also plenty signs of 'loose ends' and things that just haven't got done so it has a home-made feel. Free to list on but requires visitors to pay in order to see your profile: a system that works well in the straight world, but struggles among gays. m4m Escorts As of summer 2003 this site has improved vastly from its appearance last year. Decent layout, but still rather small. With new layout it may attract more escorts (and clients!). Good at getting escorts listed, easy to search. Has several other functions such as offering web mail, etc; some of which I'm not even sure about. Male Escort Review Spring 2006 started over with all new design, layout, and it appears even ownership. Slick look, good information, easy navigation. Very well done. Male Treasures Been around since approximately 2003. Clean appearance, not distracting. Big downfall is its geographic layout: in a pull-down menu it mixes continents, countries, regions, states, and cities all mixed together. Can be rather confusing if you don't know your geography and understand thing like "East Coast" of the United States is listed under "E" while "West Coast" of the United States is listed under "W". If they fix the entry legalize and the measurments system it has potential as an excellent site. The Male Nude Been around since mid 1999. The site is very sharp and classy looking with a good layout. The big downside of it is that it relies heavily on high-end browser features including flash which means guys with older browsers end up not seeing a lot, and the majority of guys who are not on high speed access may become frustrated with the slow load and just leave the site. Escort listings are free, and they have other pay features. US Web Boys Started in 2001 the site is quick and simple--not much graphics: just text to lead you to the cities it lists. Will need redesign if it ever gets big as its layout currently wouldn't grow too much without becoming difficult to read.
